Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet headed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, has approved the Integrated Development of Heritage & Monuments & Tourist Destination at a cost outlay of Rs.1412.79 Crore.
A total of 159 heritage sites will be redeveloped with a blend of modern amenities and the state government will spend Rs 1412.79 Crores between 2020-21 & 2026-27 for the implementation of the projects.
The Government of Odisha have launched the scheme “Integrated Development of Heritage &
Monuments and Tourist Destination (IDHMTD)” in 2020-21.
The objectives of the IDHMTD scheme are to preserve and revitalize the Heritage Monuments and Temples to reflect Odisha’s unique character by encouraging the integrated development of an aesthetically appealing, accessible, informative and secure environment, combined with efficient public facilities and infrastructure.
