Soumyashree Bisi’s Father Appeals: “Don’t Politicise My Daughter’s Death”

Amid deep mourning, the father of Soumyashree Bisi has made a poignant public appeal, urging political leaders to refrain from using his daughter’s tragic death for political gains. “My daughter is gone—please don’t politicise her memory,” he stated, expressing his heartbreak and frustration.

Following the incident, President Droupadi Murmu held a 10-minute conversation with Soumyashree’s father, offering emotional support and reportedly praying for the child’s survival before her passing. The father shared, “The President’s prayers were heartfelt, and she was deeply moved by our pain.”

The Odisha government has responded sensitively, initiating inquiries and fulfilling several demands put forth by the family. Additional promises of support and action have been made, reflecting official acknowledgement of the gravity of the incident.

Soumyashree’s father also emphasised, “Until we get justice, I will continue fighting.” His words resonate as a symbol of courage, grief, and determination in the face of irreparable loss.
