Mumbai: Indian IT giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) issued an order to end working from home and asked the employees to be mindful of the dress code when returning to the office.
Chief Human Resources Officer Milind Kakkad emailed, reminding employees of the importance of adhering to proper dress codes.
The email read, “This is key to creating the right impact with stakeholders globally. The dress code policy guides the right attire while carrying out official responsibilities and duties.”
Highlighting the company’s dress code policy in that mail, the CHRO noted that several employees joined the company in the past two years and have been working remotely until now. These employees have to be integrated in the TCS way.
Associates should dress professionally, with men wearing tucked-in full-sleeve shirts and trousers and women wearing business dresses. The outfit for Monday through Thursday is this. Business formals are the norm for formal occasions like seminars, summits, and client visits. Only on Fridays is it acceptable to wear smart casual attire such as half-sleeved shirts, turtlenecks, khakis, chinos, kurtas, salwars (for women), etc.
The company recorded a net profit of Rs 11,342 crore in Q2 FY 24 compared to Rs 10,431 crore in the same quarter the previous year, an increase of 8.74 percent year over year (YoY).
