Udala: A public hearing was held on Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) and National Social Assistance Programme at Mayurnhanj’s Udala block on Friday.
Mayurbhanj District Council Assistant Executive Officer (Administration) Dekshisha Mohapatra, Ms. Devjani Bhuyan, Udala Block Development Officer, Assistant Executive Engineer, Udala, Mr. Satyajit Sahu, Udala Block Chairman, Manjulata Biswal, Block Vice-Chairman, Rajni Das and Representative of Mayurbhanj MP, Prabhat Barik took cognizance of the complaints and asked concerned authorities to address the issues at the earliest.
According to reports, in the last financial year, an expenditure of Rs 1149.33 crore was sanctioned and a total of Rs 2215.91 crore was spent on development projects. While a total of 1211 new works have been taken up, out of which 665 works are still in progress and out of them 38 works have been fully completed.
In this public hearing program, Block Development Officer Ms. Devjani Bhuyan and Assistant Executive Officer of Mayurbhanj Zilla Parishad Dekshisha Mohapatra instructed all the present government functionaries to present full details about the upcoming progress of their work.
All the 12 panchayats’ Sarpanchs, Block Samiti members, all working Junior Engineers, PIOs, GRS, and general workers were present and participated in the program while Udala block office official Jyotiprakash Behera assisted in the management of the meeting.
