Bhubaneswar: The Holy Trinity-Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, who are in ‘anasara ghara’ following a ceremonial bath on Debasnana Purnima, are all set to reappear and give darshan in youthful appearance on the auspicious occasion of ‘Nabajoubana Darshan’ today.
Paramanik Darshan of deities is scheduled to be held between 8 am-9am. While General darshan will start from 9 am to 11 am, Temple doors will be closed after 11 am.
Devotees need to pay Rs 100 for Paramanik darshan, sources informed.
Soon after their holy bath on the auspicious Snana Purnima day, the deities fell ill and were recuperating at the ‘Anasara Ghara’ for a fortnight. After their recovery, the Holy Trinity emerged for the first time on the pious occasion of ‘Nabajoubana Darshan’ today.
The ‘Nabajoubana Darshan’ falls a day before the world-renowned Rath Yatra (car festival). Initially, the ‘Banakalagi’ ritual of the deities is performed followed by ‘Mangala Arati’, ‘Mailam’ and ‘Abakasha Niti’.
After all the rituals are solemnised, the ‘Paramanika Darshan’ and ‘Sarbasadharana Darshan’ of the deities commences in turn. While during the ‘Paramanika Darshan’ devotees have to buy tickets for a glimpse of the deities in the sanctum sanctorum, the ‘Sarbasadharana Darshan’ is free to all devotees.
Following Nabajourban Darshan, the Holy Trinity will embark on their annual sojourn on June 20.
