The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has launched a fully upgraded version of its mobile application, mySSC, aimed at making the government job application process easier and more accessible, particularly for candidates in rural areas.
The app, now available on the Google Play Store, enables aspirants to complete the entire application process through their mobile phones, eliminating the need for cybercafés and physical registration centres. SSC Chairman S Gopalakrishnan emphasised that mySSC supports Aadhaar-based OTP and face authentication, reducing costs and removing middlemen from the process.
Developed in partnership with Cubastion Consulting, the app is designed to enhance transparency and security in SSC’s recruitment procedures. Cubastion CEO Ravi Kumar highlighted that candidates who previously had to pay private services for form-filling will now have complete control over their applications.
Starting June 2025, all SSC exam applications can be completed via mySSC, marking a significant shift towards digitisation. The app requires Android version 11 or higher and mandates Aadhaar-based registration, ensuring identity verification through biometric authentication.
Officials confirm that candidate-provided information during registration will be treated as final, with Aadhaar demographic details not overriding user entries.
As one of India’s largest recruitment bodies, SSC’s move is expected to benefit lakhs of aspirants nationwide, improving accessibility and efficiency in the job application process.
