Ee Sala Cup Namde! RCB Finally Claims IPL 2025 Glory in Style

Ahmedabad witnessed a spectacle as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 6 runs, sealing their first-ever Indian Premier League (IPL) title.

The match, held at the Narendra Modi Stadium, kept fans on the edge of their seats with an intense back-and-forth battle.

After 18 years of near misses, heartbreaks, and unwavering fan support, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have finally etched their name on the IPL trophy.

Punjab Kings, chasing 191, saw a late onslaught by Shashank Singh, who blasted multiple sixes and boundaries, nearly turning the game on its head.

With Josh Hazlewood bowling the final over, PBKS needed a flurry of big hits, and while Singh managed to clear the ropes, RCB’s disciplined death-over bowling sealed the victory.

Earlier, RCB posted 190/9 in 20 overs, powered by calculated batting and aggressive finishes. In response, Punjab Kings were well-paced in their chase but lost key wickets in the middle overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yash Dayal’s crucial strikes ensured RCB maintained control before the final overs drama.

This victory marks a historic moment for RCB, a franchise that had reached multiple IPL finals but never lifted the trophy. Fans erupted with joy as the Bengaluru squad celebrated the long-awaited triumph, cementing their place in IPL history.

The IPL 2025 final was a spectacle of skill, strategy, and raw emotion. RCB, led by captain Rajat Patidar, showcased their aggressive batting approach, a hallmark of their campaign this season.

The final itself was a testament to RCB’s resilience. Punjab Kings, a formidable opponent with players like Shashank Singh and Phil Salt in their ranks, put up a spirited fight. However, RCB’s bowlers, led by Josh Hazlewood, turned the tide in their favour. Hazlewood’s disciplined spell, including a crucial slower ball that dismissed a well-set Shashank Singh, ensured PBKS couldn’t capitalise on their early momentum.

Kohli, the soul of RCB since the IPL’s inception in 2008, was visibly emotional as he celebrated with the team. The victory wasn’t just a triumph for the current squad but a tribute to RCB’s legends who paved the way.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru are no longer the team that almost won—they are the team that did. And for their fans, players, and legends, this victory is a dream come true, a moment to cherish for years to come.
