A minor fire erupted in the last bogie of the Secunderabad-Howrah Falaknuma Express near Kantapada railway station in Odisha’s Balasore district on Friday.
The incident, attributed to a fault in the brake system, was swiftly managed by railway personnel, averting potential danger.
The fire was first spotted by a vigilant gateman at Kantapada station, who promptly alerted the station master. Officials detained the train for approximately 45 minutes to ensure the blaze was extinguished before resuming its journey. No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.
Railway authorities assured passengers that safety measures were in place and that necessary inspections would be conducted to prevent such occurrences in the future.
