In response to concerns surrounding COVID-19, Odisha’s Public Health Director Nilakantha Mishra has assured citizens that the situation remains stable, with only five reported cases and no new infections.

While the numbers are low, authorities remain cautious and are closely monitoring developments.

Odisha’s health infrastructure is well-prepared, with RTPCR machines and oxygen plants ready for any emergencies.

The state has procured adequate testing kits, ensuring timely detection and response to potential outbreaks. Distribution of these kits to districts will be carried out as needed.

The state government awaits directives from the central government, while emphasising continued vigilance and awareness among citizens. Officials urge the public to follow health guidelines and remain informed, reinforcing the importance of preventive measures.

The proactive steps taken by the Odisha government showcase a commitment to safeguarding public health while ensuring that necessary precautions are in place.
