PM Modi Calls for ‘Viksit Bharat by 2047’ at NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the 10th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog, where he emphasised the need for states to play a proactive role in achieving the vision of a developed India by 2047.


The meeting, attended by chief ministers and lieutenant governors, focused on innovation, sustainability, and urban development as key drivers of growth.

PM Modi encouraged states to develop globally competitive tourist destinations, promote women’s workforce participation, and create future-ready cities. He stressed that national progress would be accelerated if every state, city, and village worked towards their transformation.

The meeting also highlighted policy implementation strategies that bring tangible changes to citizens’ lives, urging states to craft long-term, inclusive development plans.
