Cuttack: A youth, who reportedly come to trade in the week-long fair here, drowned while taking bath in the Mahanadi today.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Irshad, a trader.
Sources said Mohammad had gone to bathe in the river when the mishap took place at around 10.30 am.
On getting the information, fire services personnel reached the spot and started the rescue operations. Police too reached the spot and have started investigation.
Further probe is underway.
