Puri: The passengers sitting inside a moving car had a narrow escape after the vehicle caught fire near Batamangala area here on Wednesday morning.
According to sources, the incident occurred when the occupants of the vehicle were en route to Bhubaneswar from Puri.
According to the passengers, while they were travelling they noticed smoke coming out from the engine. As they got down from the car to check the source of the smoke, the car was engulfed by fire.
On being informed, fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the flames.
