Paradip: A brown sugar peddler escaped from the custody of personnel of Model police station while being taken to Kujang court.
The accused has been identified as Rabindra Mandal of Atharbanki, nabbed by Paradeep Model Police on charges of smuggling brown sugar.
According to reports, the incident occured while the accused was being taken to Kujang Court when he escaped.
Meanwhile, police launched a manhunt to nab the accused. Moreover, senior police officials visited the police station and took stock of the situation.
