New Delhi: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police on Monday grilled Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez for the second time in connection with the Rs 200 crore extortion case filed against alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
As the actress appeared befor the EOW, she was confronted with the testimonies of Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi and Pinky Irani, who was an aide of accused Chandrashekhar.
Jacqueline last appeared before Delhi Police on September 14 and was questioned for eight hours. Pinky Irani, who has introduced Jacqueline Fernandez to Sukesh Chandrashekhar, had also appeared for questioning on the same day.
Fernandez and Irani were grilled for several hours and when confronted with each other, both provided contradicting statements to the police. Rumours were also adrfit that Jacqueline wanted to marry Sukesh.
Special Commissioner of Police, EOW, Ravinder Yadav had stated that the actress maintained contact with the conman even after his illegal actions were made public. The statement said, “There is more trouble for Jacqueline Fernandez as she did not cut ties with Sukesh Chandrasekhar even after knowing his criminal antecedents. But Nora Fatehi did disconnect herself once she suspected that something is fishy.”
