Deogarh: An innovative program to connect with the people, ‘Bate Ghate’, which was earlier launched by the district administration on the first Sunday of the month, was once again relaunched from today.
People from all walks of life participated in these programs and displayed their talents.
The program, held on the proposal of District Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay, saw all administrative officers, government employees, artists, sportsmen, nature lovers, self-help groups, workers of various institutions and students and intellectuals participating in the event.
This program aims to maintain good relations with people physically and mentally through cleanliness, environmental protection, sports and fun.
The district administration also aims to promote physical and mental healthcare among the people through this programme. Various programmes including yoga, marathon, cycling, plantation, painting, ‘rangoli,’ street play and cultural events were part of the event that were held at different places from Garden Department office to Pradhanpat today at 7 AM.
Along with this, a feedback center was opened to draw the attention of the administration on the program regarding various problems of the district. The general public, including school students, were seen writing their opinions there.
Among others Additional District Magistrate Rebecca Bilung, Sub-District Magistrate Brajbandhu Bhoi, Assistant District Magistrate Sushant Kumar Naik, Yashwant Dehuri, Kaibalya Kar, Banamali Sethi actively participated in the event.
