Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional centre has issued rain and thunderstorm with lightning alert for Odisha for the next three days.
According to the IMD’s latest bulletin, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundergarh, Keonjhar Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Angul, Boudh, Kandhamal, and Nayagarh today.
Similarly, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Khurda, and Puri on Friday, and over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Bolangir, and Boudh will experience rain and thunderstorm activity on Saturday.
Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts Nuapada, Bolangir Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Puri, and Jagatsinghpur on Sunday and over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, and Jagatsinghpur on Monday, it added.
