DDLJ is one of the biggest romantic films ever made in Bollywood and Simran’s character and her nuances still hold the same relevance they did years ago. Playing in Maratha Mandir for over 25 years now, we are out of count of the number of times, “Jaa Simran jaa, jile apni zindagi,” is used regularly even today and the credit for the role goes to Senorita Kajol.

If you haven’t seen this film, you have missed Kajol at her best. She’s not the good girl she was in her film before; she’s the bad guy now. What looks like an extension of Anjali from KKHH, Kajol’s character, also named Anjali in K3G is famous for her quirky behaviour and extremely funny dialogues. “Bade mazaki hai,” “Rahul, take a chill pill,” and many more, Kajol has a list of dialogues that are still used by women today.
Zooni in Fanaa
Kajol came back to the silver screen after a break with Fanaa. She played a blind girl in the film who falls in love with a terrorist but isn’t aware of it. The nitty-gritties of a character like this are hard to get but Kajol was so convincing that this sure marks for one of her best roles ever.
