Odisha Vigilance intercepted Krishna Nayak, Superintendent of Excise, Dhenkanal, on Deulasahi Road earlier today.
Acting on credible inputs, Vigilance officials found Rs. 3 lakh in her possession during the search of her Scorpio vehicle bearing registration number OD-02-CZ-7044.
Unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for the source of the cash, Nayak’s vehicle and the seized amount were confiscated. Vigilance authorities have launched searches at five locations connected to the officer, aiming to unearth more details regarding this suspected ill-gotten wealth.
Efforts are underway to trace the origins of the funds and probe deeper into the financial connections linked to this case. This interception sends a strong message against corruption, reinforcing public trust in accountability measures.
