Bhubaneswar: The Covid-19 test positivity rate (TPR) is on a steady rise in Odisha. The test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 5.07%.
While Odisha is witnessing a rising trend of COVID-19, case positivity is also rising. However, situation is not alarming.
This has been informed by Health director Bijay Mohapatra. Besides, he also said that “There is no need to panic but difficult to ascertain now about the trend in the upcoming days.”
The sudden rise in the positivity rate, has triggered a concern about a possible new wave of the coronavirus pandemic in the city.
On the other hand, in view of the rising number of COVID-19 infections and non functioning of private dedicated COVID Hospital (DCH) at district level, the Odisha government has decided to augment facilities in district headquarters hospitals (DHHs) and medical college and hospitals (MCHs).
