Bhubaneswar: At least 12 places in Odisha recording a maximum temperature of above 40 degree Celsius on Monday.
As per the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, Baripada recorded a temperature of 42.6 degree Celsius, the highest in the State, followed by Bolangir at 42.5 degree Celsius, Jharsuguda at 42.4 degree Celsius and Sonepur at 42.1 degree Celsius.
Besides, eight places including Boudh (42 degree Celsius), Angul (41.9), Titlagarh (41.6), Sambalpur (41.4), Sundargarh (41), Hirakud (40.9), Bhawanipatna (40.8) and Talcher (40.2) recorded a maximum temperature of above 40 degree Celsius yesterday.
Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded a maximum temperature of 37 and 36.1 degree Celsius, respectively.
