Bhubaneswar: As many as 6,561 fresh COVID-19 cases were reported in the country in the past 24 hours, informed the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
With this, the country’s active infections stood at 8,528, with the total number of active patients dipping to 77,152. The death toll currently stands at 5,14,388, the data stated.
The active cases comprise 0.18 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate has improved to 98.62 per cent, the ministry said.
With the administration of 21,83,976 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid inoculation coverage has reached 1,78,02,63,222 as of Thursday morning.
