Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh’s ongoing Aura India Tour has run into major security hurdles following a threat email targeting his upcoming Mumbai event and the Delhi Police denying permission for his October 30 concert at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
A threat email sent to the Mumbai Mayor warned of attacks on her office, Amitabh Bachchan, and Dosanjh’s November 27 show at Mahalaxmi Racecourse.
Simultaneously, Delhi’s South District Deputy Commissioner of Police confirmed that the capital concert was denied permission due to festive season security demands and specific threat inputs.
Officials noted that these concerns include a recent hoax bomb threat received by six Delhi schools on October 15, which explicitly warned students against attending the October 30 concert and featured pro-Khalistani slogans.
Despite Delhi Police denying permission in a letter to ticketing partner BookMyShow, the listing remained active on the platform as of Thursday evening.
Neither Dosanjh nor his management team has stated the security threats or the concert cancellations. Authorities across both cities remain on high alert as investigations into the threat emails continue.
