Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced that Kyiv has received ceasefire proposals from four countries—India, Turkey, Egypt, and the United States—with India’s framework being the “most comprehensive.”
According to reports, Sybiha confirmed Ukraine’s readiness to consider various truce formats, including along current front lines.
However, Kyiv reiterated that any agreement must protect vital energy and port infrastructure while restoring security in the Black Sea. While Turkey and Egypt focused on Black Sea grain navigation and the U.S. centred on energy, India’s submission provided a broader, unified approach.
The revelation coincides with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent remarks praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s persistent diplomatic engagement and neutral stance toward finding mutually acceptable solutions.

Sybiha noted that a formal truce could stem from a future meeting between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President Vladimir Putin, emphasising that India’s willingness to actively mediate marks a significant diplomatic milestone.
