46 Inmates Test Positive for COVID-19 In Berhampur Prison

Berhampur: The Berhampur Circle Jail came in clutches of coronavirus as 46 inmates tested positive for COVID-19 here. As per reports, a prisoner undergoing life term was found positive for COVID-19 following which swab samples of 80 prisoners and two staff members were sent to the hospital. Following this, 46 were found positive for the virus. Reportedly all the infected persons were admitted to the newly opened 100-bedded Dedicated Covid Care Center (DCCC) inside the jail. A special team of doctors has been formed to conduct the health check-up of the inmates at regular intervals, sources said.
