Sonepur: Three persons were killed and one critically injured after a hyva truck ran rammed into their two motorcycles near Arigaon Square in Sonepur’s Binika on Saturday afternoon.
The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.
According to reports, the crash took place at around 5 PM this evening while four persons on two motorcycles were en-route from the Godabhaga area due to some work.
Suddenly, the driver of the speeding truck which was coming from the opposite direction lost control over the wheels and came extremely left to dash against the bikes.
While three of the bikers died on the spot, the critically injured person rushed to a nearby hospital by some locals immediately for treatment.
On being informed about the incident, police have reached the spot and seized the mangled vehicles after sending the deceased for autopsy.
Soon after the incident, villagers detained the driver and handed him over to the police.
