Sambalpur: While Odisha Government is taking several steps to curb the spread of coronavirus in the State, at least 25 students of VSSUT (Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology) have tested positive for COVID-19.
As per reports, fresh cases were detected in three hostels of the State-run university just in two days. While 24 students were detected on Friday, one more tested covid positive today.
The infected students are currently undergoing treatment at different hospitals.
On being alerted about the same, Sambalpur Sub-Collector and PD DRDA took stock of the situation.
The Vice-Chancellor of the varsity has urged the students not to enter the campus as part of precautionary measures.
Meanwhile, Odisha reported 86 Covid positive cases on Saturday.
