Jajpur: As many as 177 persons of Nagada village and its neighbouring Tumuni and Guhiasal hamlets received the first dose of coronavirus vaccine in a camp organised by the District health and welfare department and Sukhinda PHC.
Reportedly, at least 65 Juang tribals, along with 56 from Guhiasala and 38 from Tumuni have been vaccinated in the vaccinations drive.
Additionally, 17 employees from various departments working for development of Nagada and two from Naliadabara were also been vaccinated.
As per reports, the administration had set a target of vaccinating around 250 adults in Nagada and the other two hamlets.
Notably, not a single tribal of Nagada has officially been detected with the infection in both the first and second wave of the pandemic.
