Zain Foundation Organising Advocacy Exercise In City To Mark World Autism Awareness Day
Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day on the 2nd of April (Sunday), Zain Foundation Trust, Bhubaneswar will be organising an advocacy exercise in the city, to raise awareness on Autism Spectrum Disorder.
With support of Odisha’s very first Special Education Needs (SEN) cell at KiiT International School, the foundation has planned a cycle and roller skating rally, at 4 pm, starting at the International school campus at KIIT, Patia, till the Zain Foundation premises at Baramunda, at about 5.30 pm.
There would be about 200 participants, including those on the autism spectrum.
Like every year, the mothers of the special children would be felicitated and the participants given a token of gratitude. Besides, the programme would be open to impromptu activities by the children as well.
The Zain Foundation Trust aspires to be the first holistic residential place for adults and adolescents on the autism spectrum disorder, in eastern India.
