Kandhamal: Police have arrested a youth for allegedly raping an on-duty lady home guard under Rankiya police station limits in the Kandhamal district.
The arrestee has been identified as Kunna Digal of Khajuripada police station area.
According to available information, the accused had allegedly outraged the modesty of a lady home guard, posted at the Raikiya police station.
Following the incident, the victim had lodged a written complaint on January 9. After pertinent efforts of several months, the cops managed to nab the accused and forwarded him to the court.
