Khurda: The body of a youth was found near the rail tracks on the Kaipadar-Dhaulimuhan railway station in Khurda district on Friday.
According to reports, a video of the youth reportedly cutting his own wrist before dying has gone viral on social media platforms.
Meanwhile, the brother of the deceased informed that the youth had talked with his family on phone before slitting his hand.
In the self-shot video, he said “I fell in love with a girl, she betrayed me. Please forgive me, I made a big mistake. It’s my appeal to people to take care of my parents & younger brother. I don’t want to live..”
On getting information, police reached the spot and recovered the body for post-mortem. Though the exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that the youth killed self over love failure.
Further investigation is underway in this regard.
