Koraput: A youth was electrocuted to death after coming in contact with a live wire at Goudaguda village under Semiliguda police station limits in Koraput district yesterday. The deceased has been identified as Nakul Gouda (21) from the same locality.
Reportedly, the incident took place while Nakul was constructing the roof of one Philip Khosla. Meanwhile, iron rode came in contact with the 11kv wire due to which Nakul fell on the ground. Immediately, Nakul was rushed to Mathalput hospital, where the doctors declared him ‘brought dead’.
Irate over the mishap, the kin along with the villagers staged a protest demanding compensation. Later, Sunabeda police along with Damanjodi police and Charangul Sarpanch reached the spot and persuaded the villagers.
After receiving the compensation, the body was sent for Post-mortem. Following the mishap, a pal of gloom descended in the village.
