Cuttack: A youth drowned during a swimming lesson at Mahanadi on Sunday morning. The deceased has been identified as Sohail Khan of Peer Bazar area here.
According to reports, the youth, like every day had come for his swimming classes, when he slipped into the deep and went missing. After a frantic search, he remained untraceable. Later, the ODRAF team along with fire department reached the spot and launched a rescue operation.
Hours after searching, the rescue team fished out the body of the youth.
While the family members have been informed about the incident, the body was taken to SCB hospital for post-mortem, said sources.
