Bhubaneswar: A youth was allegedly bludgeoned to death at Munda Sahi Basti under Mancheswar police limits in Bhubaneswar on Friday.
The deceased person has been identified as Mukesh Chowdhury.
According to reports, the matter came to light this morning when some onlookers spotted the body lying in a pool of blood and then informed the police about the same.
Though the reason behind the murder has not been ascertained, it is suspected that the youth was crushed to death with stone by some locals.
On being informed, the Mancheswar police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
