Yellow Warning! Low Pressure Area Forms Over Gangetic WB, Rainfall In Several Odisha Dists
Bhubaneswar: A Low pressure area has formed over southern parts of Gangetic West Bengal & neighbourhood under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over Gangetic West Bengal & neighbourhood.
This has been informed by Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar.
Yellow Warning in terms of heavy rainfall has been issued for several districts of the state. Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Nuapada, Sonepur, Sambalpur and Deogarh today, the Meteorological Centre forecasted.
The IMD further predicted that another cyclonic circulation is likely to form over Eastcentral and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal around 25th September.
It is likely to move west-northwestwards and reach Odisha coast during the subsequent 48 hours. Under its influence, a fresh spell of heavy rainfall likely over Odisha and adjoining areas from 26th September.
