Yasmin Karachiwala Suggests Tips To Tackle Coronavirus At Home
Mumbai: Yasmin Karachiwala, who is a popular celebrity trainer and Master Instructor, recently gave some tips to tackle coronavirus at home.
The fitness expert recently posted a reel on Instagram to help her audience understand a few things that helped her deal with the novel virus. In the caption, she wrote, “I would like to share with you six things that really helped me when I had Covid.”
Yasmin revealed six strategies that helped her manage the condition:
1. Steam (2-3 times a day)
In the video, you can see Yasmin using a steamer. You can invest in one too! We recommend avoiding taking steam directly from a cauldron, because it can cause burns and injuries.
2. Vitamin C (at least 1000 mg a day)
The vitamin is known to help build immunity, which is much-needed when you’re fighting coronavirus.
3. Zinc (1 supplement a day)
The anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties of this mineral can go a long way in helping you regain strength, especially when you’re down with covid-19.
4. Check oxygen saturation (2 times a day using a pulse oximeter)
One of the prime symptoms of the novel virus is a sudden drop in oxygen levels. Hence, it is advised that you keep a check on your oxygen levels using an oximeter.
5. Proning (If your oxygen levels are low)
This technique is being shared widely on social media as a simple method to increase oxygen levels.
6. Consult a doctor from home (for the meds that you need, don’t self medicate!)
Before you do any of the five things mentioned above, make sure you speak with a doctor and discuss all the symptoms.
Yasmin is a fitness expert, who works with celebrities like Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone. She was earlier diagnosed with covid-19, but has now recovered.
