Geneva: The World Health Organization chief, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said that the risk of COVID-19 in the world remains high and it’s a long way to go.
Tedros said the virus the world is fighting is a dangerous enemy as it combines features like fast and fatal. The majority of the world’s population remains susceptible to this virus, he added.
Dwelling upon the widespread reach of the virus, the WHO chief said all countries have faced challenges in coming to grips with this virus irrespective of their stratum.
He advised countries to learn lessons from the pandemic and added that every country and every organization must examine its response and learn from its experience.
