World AIDS Day 2020: Sand Artists Sudarsan Pattnaik, Subal Maharana spread awareness

Puri: To commemorate World AIDS Day, which is celebrated on the 1st of December every year, sand artists in Odisha created a mural to spread awareness.

Sudarsan Pattnaik’s piece on Puri Beach read ‘Global Solidarity, Shared Responsibility’ which is the theme for this year.

Subal Maharana, another sand artist from Bhubaneswar, urged people across the world to come together to fight the battle with his sand sculpture.

The World AIDS Day is held on December 1 each year, it was held for the first time in 1988. On this day people come together to show solidarity for those people living with HIV, it was first identified in the year 1984. On this day, people observe solidarity and have a hope for a better future for people worldwide fight against HIV. The day is celebrated on the last month of each year, when people unite to show their support for people with HIV.
