Working Nepali Nationals In Odisha To Be Vaccinated Soon

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has directed all districts and civic body authorities to vaccinate Nepali Nationals working in the State.

The Health & Family Welfare Department in a letter to all Collectors & Districts Magistrates, Commissioners, Municipal Corporation of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Berhampur, Sambalpur and Rourkela and all CDM & PHOs, has said that as per the recommendation of NEGVAC, COVID-19 Vaccination could be extended to Nepali Nationals working in the State.

“These Nepali National who are working as Labourers / Workers may not have any prescribed ID card for registration Co-WIN. The MoHFW has communicated these Nepali national shall be vaccinated in accordance with SoP for COVID vaccination of persons without prescribed Identify Card,” the letter read.

Besides, the H&FW department has also asked to communicate the above instruction to all Programme Officers / Manager, Vaccinators and verifiers for Implementation of the same in the vaccination programme.
