Keonjhar: At least three persons were arrested by the forest department officials on the charges of smuggling wood planks in the area under Champua forest range in Keonjhar district.
The estimated value of the wood planks is said to be lakhs of rupees, officials informed.
Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid while the vehicle was en route to Joda from Jharkhand and arrested the accused in this connection. The cops also seized wood planks and a pickup van used is smuggling.
