Women’s Big Bash League 4: Harmanpreet, Mandhana rewrite record books

New Delhi: India’s T20 stars Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana rewrote the record books on a high-scoring day at the Women’s Big Bash League 4 on Sunday.

T20 vice-captain Mandhana took 24 balls to get to her fifty to set up a win for Hobart Hurricanes. Whereas opening the batting, Kaur scored 69 off 41 balls with 13 boundaries for Sydney Thunder against Brisbane Heat.

The overall record belongs jointly to Ash Gardner and Lizelle Lee, who both smashed the fifties off 22 balls last season.

While Kaur extended her association with Sydney Thunder, Mandhana has been signed by Hobart Hurricanes in the fourth season of the Women’s Big Bash League.
