Women & Children Safety: Naveen Approves 62 Posts For Odisha Police’s Special Wing
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday approved 62 posts for a special police wing that will look after safety of women and children in the State.
The special wing will led by an IG-rank officer. The posts include 2 Additional Superintendent of Police (ASPs), 10 DCP-rank officers, 9 Inspectors, 10 Sub-Inspectors, 8 ASIs and 14 constables, 2 Cyber forensic & IT expert among others.
Earlier, the CM had announced to set up a special wing in Odisha police to probe various crimes against women and children with an aim to provide quality services to them.
