Bolangir: The blood-soaked body of a woman has been found near a waste management plant at Bijakhaman area on Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Astami Bakul, a driver of the waste management vehicle.
According to reports, Astami had gone missing on Saturday evening at around 6:12 pm after parking the vehicle at the waste management plant.
Later, the matter came to the fore after some locals spotted the body lying near a waste management plant.
Though the exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that she has been murdered as there are injury marks on her body.
On being informed, police arrived at the spot and recovered the body for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway in this regard.
