Puri: A 44-year-old woman attempted to end her life by jumping into the sea here this morning. The woman has been identified as Urmila Rout, a resident of Chakeisiani area in Bhubaneswar.
According to reports, a Life Guard and a firefighting personnel, who were present at the spot, rescued the woman.
While the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, the family members of the victim have been informed, said sources.
