Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police have arrested a woman, the prime accused in a murder case, after 21 days of committing the crime.
The accused has been identified as Tanushree Parmanik, a resident from Khandagiri area.
Reportedly, she was apprehended for allegedly strangulating her neighbour’s son, Sairam Patra to death on June 3.
Commissionerate Police registered a case against her under Section 302 of IPC following the incident and arrested her yesterday following which she was produced in the Bhubaneswar court.
On the other hand, family members of the deceased claimed that Tanushree undergoing treatment for Schizophrenia since June 3 at AIIMS in order to evade arrest. They want exemplary punishment to the accused.
