Keonjhar: A woman was trampled to death by a wild elephant at Jagmohanpur village under Telkoi forest range late last night. The deceased has been identified as Janaki Pradhan.
According to sources, Janaki was sleeping last night. Hearing the scream of neighbours, she stepped out of her house when the victim came across the wild pachyderm. The elephant then trampled the woman to death.
On being informed, forest department officials reached the spot and seized the body for post-mortem.
