Kendrapara: A woman was assaulted and tonsured for duping scores of people on the pretext of helping them get easy loans. The incident was reported from Beltal village under Pattamundai in Kendrapara district.
The woman, identified as a resident of Dakhinadia village in the district had allegedly taken money from some people by promising them loan of lakhs of rupees. Later, she avoided them following which, people caught hold of her in the middle of the road at Beltal, smeared her face with black ink, and tonsured her head.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
