Bhubaneswar: The regional weather department has predicted that the steady dip in the night temperatures and cold weather is likely to prevail for some more days.
India Meteorological Department has stated through special bulletin that northwesterly/ northerly dry and cold wind at lower level penetrating over Odisha has made the populace witness Severe winter chill, that will very likely prevail over some districts till February 5.
The night temperature is expected to fall by three-to five degree Celsius till February 5.
Jharsuguda, Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Bolangir, and Kandhamal district has been issued with orange warning for February 2.
Meanwhile, yellow weather warning has been issued for Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sonepur, Boudh, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Nayagarh and Khurda districts.
