Washington-Pyongyang talks will boost Korean peace process: South Korean President


Seoul: South Korean President Moon Jae-in said his country actively supports and assists Washington-Pyongyang dialogue for the peace process.

Moon said on Monday said that North Korea and the US will soon resume working-level talks. Media reports said Moon cited an “unchanged commitment” to trust and peace by the leaders of the three sides. He however, did not reveal any other details, including the exact date and venue for the upcoming talks.

Moon said the talks will be a “force to advance the peace process on the Korean Peninsula”. Moon is scheduled to visit New York and is expected to meet separately with Trump on September 26.
