Virat Kohli’s ton goes in vain as India lose Ranchi ODI

Ranchi: Skipper Virat Kohli’s 41st ODI ton went in vain as India lost the third One Day International (ODI) to Australia by 32 runs in Ranchi on Friday.

Chasing 314, Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayudu and MS Dhoni failed but Kohli kept India in the hunt with his 8th hundred against Australia.

India was bowled out for 281 runs after being handed a target of 314 runs by Australia. Skipper Virat Kohli was the highest run-scorer for the hosts scoring 123 runs off 95 deliveries.

India now leads the five-match series 2-1.
