Mumbai: Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal and Kunal Kemmu slammed the online streaming platform Disney+ HotStar for not inviting them to a star-studded virtual press conference.
Out of the seven films that were announced, the lead actors from five films were a part of the virtual press conference hosted by actor Varun Dhawan.
But these two actors were reportedly not invited to talk up their films, prompting fans on social media to call out the toxic work culture in Bollywood.
Top Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan and Alia Bhatt were present to talk up their respective films.
However, Kemmu and Jammwal weren’t given that same berth or platform.
In fact, Kemmu sounded dejected in his tweet, probably put out in protest. He said: “Izzat aur pyaar maanga nahi kamaya jaata hai. Koi na de toh usse hum chhote nahi hote. Bas maidaan khelne ke liye barabar de do chhalaang hum bhi oonchi laga sakte hai.”

Jammwal called out the web platform in a succinct tweet for not inviting him for the junket that also announced the release of his film ‘Khuda Haafiz’.
A BIG announcement for sure!!
7 films scheduled for release but only 5 are deemed worthy of representation. 2 films, receive no invitation or intimation. It’s a long road ahead. THE CYCLE CONTINUES https://t.co/rWfHBy2d77
